Terms and conditions
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Troop (“Troop”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or buying credits you accept them. If you are accepting for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
1. The service
Troop is an outbound sales tool for businesses. From your website it suggests who your buyers are, finds businesses that match, explains why each one fits, writes first messages from facts it found, and can send email for you. Some of this work is done by third-party providers (data, email delivery, AI and payments); see the privacy policy.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you have paid for, we will refund the unused credits you bought for it.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and use Troop for business purposes.
- Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person or business per account. Do not share or resell access.
3. Credits, prices and payment
- Troop is paid for with credits. One credit is worth ₹1 at list price; larger packs give more credits per rupee. Pack prices are shown on our pricing section and are exclusive of GST, which is added at checkout.
- Each action has a credit price shown before you take it (for example finding a lead, revealing a contact, or sending an email). Credits are deducted when the action is done.
- New accounts receive free credits once. Free credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged.
- Purchased credits do not expire while your account is open. They cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for cash, except as set out in our refund policy.
- If an action fails or finds nothing chargeable (for example a reveal that finds no email), its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card details.
- We may change credit prices. Changes apply only to actions taken after the change and never reduce credits you already hold.
Refunds and cancellations are covered in our refund policy.
4. How you may use Troop
You are the sender of every message sent from your account, whether you send it or Troop sends it for you. You agree to:
- Contact businesses only about something relevant to them, with honest messages that say who you are.
- Follow the laws that apply to your outreach, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and TRAI rules on commercial communication.
- Stop contacting anyone who asks you to. Troop records opt-outs and will not contact them again from your account.
- Review messages before they go out. AI-written drafts can be wrong; you are responsible for what you send.
You must not:
- Send spam, misleading or fraudulent messages, or anything unlawful, harassing, adult or hateful.
- Resell, publish or bulk-share contact details obtained through Troop, or use them outside your own sales outreach.
- Scrape, copy or reverse engineer Troop, get around its limits or charges, or interfere with its security.
- Use Troop to contact consumers about personal matters, or to collect data about people for anything other than business outreach.
We may pause sending or suspend an account that breaks these rules, gets high complaint rates, or puts our sending reputation at risk.
5. Your data and business data
- You own what you put into Troop: your website details, your brief, your messages and your notes. You let us use it to run the service for you.
- Business and contact information in Troop comes from public sources and data providers. We work to keep it accurate but cannot promise every detail is correct or current.
- You may export your pipeline as described in the product. Contact details stay inside Troop and are released only for the outreach you pay for.
- How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
6. Our property
Troop's software, design and brand belong to us. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Troop while your account is open. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Troop without obligation to you.
7. No guarantee of results
Troop helps you find and contact businesses; it does not guarantee replies, meetings or sales. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose. We aim for Troop to be available at all times but do not promise uninterrupted service.
8. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
You will compensate us for claims and costs that arise from messages you send through Troop or from your breach of these terms.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where reasonable. If we close your account without cause, we will refund your unused purchased credits. Deleting your account permanently removes its projects, leads and contacts; opt-out records are kept so nobody who said no is contacted again.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first; most problems are solved quickly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts at the place of our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders or show a notice in Troop before they take effect. Continuing to use Troop after that means you accept the new terms.
